Especializações
Specializations are a game mechanic introduced in Battlefield: Bad Company 2′s multiplayer, that provide benefits to the player and allow customization and tailor-made combat roles. These mechanics, along with a few tweaks, are still present in Battlefield 3.
Below is the breakdown of Battlefield 3′s Vehicle Specializations available to you for vehicle customization.

| EXTINGUISHER | Air | A controlled air pressure release in the engine compartment will extinguish engine fires when activated, helping a disabled aircraft return to normal operation and recover from damage | |
